Chaplain's Chat with Arifa Naeem - 'Being a Muslim Woman in Modern Britain'
Canon Brian Mountford talks with Arifa Naeem, leader of the Islamic Values programme in modern Britain.
Arifa Naeem works with Muslim parents through ‘Family Action Slough’ using Family Links' Nurturing Programme. She is a respected member of the Muslim community in the region, with extensive experience of the social issues raised by being a Muslim woman in contemporary Britain. We will talk about her work and her experience of Islam here in Oxford, but she will also be ready to take on questions ranging from feminism to Jihad, and from Islamic beliefs to political divisions.
