Rail

Oxford is on the main line between Birmingham and London and is accessible from most major towns. For timetable information telephone 0845 48 49 50 or access the National Rail website

Bus or coach

Buses from London run round the clock at very reasonable fares.

X90 - Calls at London Victoria Coach Station, Grosvenor Gardens (Victoria), Marble Arch, Gloucester Place (Baker St.) and Hillingdon Circus.
LHR - Calls at Heathrow bus station and Heathrow Terminal 5; transfer from the central bus station for terminals 1, 2, 3& to terminal 4. There is a free train transfer between Heathrow Central and terminal 4.
LGW - Calls at Gatwick South Terminal and Gatwick North Terminal.
Oxford Tube - Calls at Grosvenor Gardens (Victoria), Marble Arch, Notting Hill Gate, Shepherd's Bush, Hillingdon Circus and Lewknor Turn.

Travel times from London vary with traffic but average an hour and a half to two hours. The X90 is significantly faster than the Oxford Tube as it follows a more direct route.

For St. Hilda's, alight at St. Clements, walk up to the roundabout and Cowley Place is the second exit. If you have an NUS, YP Railcard or YP Coachcard, show it to the driver for a cheaper ticket.

Taxi

St Hilda's College is situated approximately 20 minutes walk from the city centre and bus station and about 30 minutes walk from the train station. Taxis are recommended if you have luggage with you and are available at both locations. If you have difficulty finding one, please contact the Porters' Lodge on 01869 276884.
